Body Building Supplements
If you visit stores or web sites which offer nutritional supplements, you will probably see that many of them offer the special class of items for body building. That is a special culture.
Consider that the human body is capable of great strength, with or without a bulky appearance. To my mind, the most impressive athletes (other than weight lifters) and physical workers are those with wiry builds. When living on my family’s small farm, I witnessed lean looking fellows pick up bales of hay — 80 to 120 pounds each — and throw them overhand into the second story of our barn. Although I was not nearly so strong, I did qualify for my highschool track and jump team strictly from the exercise of working that mostly non mechanized farm.
So body sculpting, in the former manner of Arnold Schwarzenegger, has just never interested me. Mercury impressed me more than did Hercules.
Dock workers, such as stevedores and longshoremen, now have fancy machines to help them, but photographs from only a few decades ago show large bulky bodies, all achieved without special supplements.
The old DuPont slogan of “Better Living Through Chemistry” has been mis read by many people as use pills to make you better than nature provides. Along with recreational mood altering drugs, many body sculptors and athletes have taken to the use of artificial steroids. In fact, the world of baseball has been plagued by controversy over who does or does not do steroids. So be cautious when reading ads for body building supplements.
Your body already makes steroids according to your level of activity. The most powerful androgen is testosterone, present in differing amounts in males and females. But do you really need to add arnolds, DHEA, gym candy, HGH, hype, juice, pumpers, roids, stackers, weight trainers? None for me, thanks.
Here’s an example of two web sites which advertise themselves under the ‘health’ category: www.getanabolics.com and www.discountanabolics.com. Their ‘body building supplements’ are anabolic STEROIDS. If you want to cheat in athletics, or accelerate the building of muscle bulk for appearance, buy and use their goods.
Of course, steroids can shorten your life, make your testicles (if you have any) shrink up and lose functionality, damage your heart, cause acne, anger, anxiety, aggression, mood swings, fear, nausea, trembling, aching joints, liver damage, cancer, urinary problems, along with building up your muscle bulk. They can even help pretty faced boys and girls grow mustaches, grow bald, and stop growing.
